Dear Orange,
today's an eventful day for me! THe whole J1 level went to OCS, an officer cadet school. Its somewhere in boon lay but never see b4..its all embushed haah.
Ok so the morning started off with many young officers stationed at our school especially to bring us over to their camp. We were allowed to choose our officers. And guess what..theres this guy with the same name as weiqiang. So we decided to go to him..ahhha. Our guides were: Weiqiang, ZhiRong and Lenard. They generally did quite a good job explaining and zhirong is the friendliest=)
Ok...so the campsite..was huge! Can you imagine? The distance from the dormitory to the parade square can be as far as 2km! Then everywhere they go they must march!! OMG. Thats totally energy draining! No wonder my fat cousin can come out from NS so fit!
Btw, that military camp was supposedly for the top few percent of the whole army cohord..so the facilities were super good and whole place is very beautifully built up. It was a much nicer place than i had imagined an army camp to be. The parade square was a large squarish white and clean piece of land, surrounded by pretty bushes with flowers. I don't mind living there lorr..
And the best thing is..there're lots of good looking guys there!!!!!hmm...maybe i can consider working in the army.
Ok nvm. thats impossible. So we visited many different stations like the rifle shooting, throwing the "explosive", camouflage and some others.
The camouflage one is cool! They got 3 soldiers in their green uniforms and helmets decorated with leaves and face painted green with black stripes to go hide beneath the bushes in the forest. Then we had to spot them. It was super hard! Cannot see them at all!! I would say camouflaging is really a great self-defence skill to pick up. Cannot fight just hide lor.
So 3 guys were made to try out applying the green cream on their face and then putting some black cream to cover up the sharp and distinct features(i.e. nose, cheek bones, adam's apple) of their faces. Cool!! I wanted to try leh..but seems like only guys are doing it.
Well, next station was the SAR21 shooting one. On our way walking there(which was around 15min), we saw troops marching past and they were cheering super loudly! And their marching was extremely neat! I guess that would be one of the things guys can look forward to in the army! CHEERING AND SINGING! Wah..i could feel the team spirit mans. Ok so some people were picked to try out shooting at moving targets on the field with the SAR21. I couldn't coz my hand was in pain and most importantly i have a phobia for sudden loud noises.
I only tried the noiseless one where you pull a wire and this very intense bright light will go off. It was supposed to blind the enemy so that they cannot see us ahha.. But the thing was i am supposed to walk past the wire and trip it. But.. it broke and the thing didn't go off!! Hai..what a failure.=(
Andd...the best part of the whole journey was the the trip up to the tower! It had three sides, supposed to represent the navy, land and air respectively. And they each face different sectors of Singapore. The residential, industrial and military! It was a picturesque up there and the best thing was the strong wind! I love the scenery and really couldn't bear to leave=((
Hai..if i am a guy..i'll go to OCS! Although army life is torturous, but i guess it is the great friendships that you forge that will pull you through those 2 years. There are sweat and tears but there'll also be laughters and good times you'll never forget!I bet alot of grown up men still miss their army days. Btw, the ration food there is not bad leh.. Despite the amount of preservatives they put in the food to make it last for 2 years, the dumpling chicken rice and pasta tasted quite okay. Haha good luck to all the guys who are enlisted into army!! Just try to enjoy and cherish every moment you have there..its a once in a life time experience..
OHH!! And guess what.. each officer there will get this long, stylish golden sword when they graduate. OH mans!! The sword was shiny and cool!!! I must get a boyfriend from OCS haha.. then i can snatch the sword and runaway.=D
Yep..so today was an extremely fufilling day for me although all the walking nearly left me dying ahha. I was quite sad when we had to leave=( Hopefully i can return to the place someday!

Today we finally submitted our binded final copy of WR to MS Kavi! I really felt a strong sense of pride and accomplishment. It was a moment of relief for all of us i guess=)FINALLY! AFTER STRUGGLING FOR HALF A YEAR! I hope we'll do fine for OP though. Btw, went to the teachers scholarship seminar with waimin. It was rather inspiring! Really made me wanna go overseas to study! But the thing is that i cannot get any scholarship coz i only got a miserable 9 academic points!! So probably will have to stay in Singapore forever=( I really wanna go somewhere and learn about other ppl's culture and life and gain greater exposure to other countries!! I really wanna experience a wholenew thing for myself!!! But nothing seems possible now..hai. Went back to school for dance. Mr Dan didn't come..which can be a good or bad thing ahha. Ms Ng Zifang taught us ballet ahah..quite tiring la.
Then on my way home, met jade, norine and guzheng on the bus. All the 4B ppl!! I suddenly realised that i miss RV and 4B so much.
signing off,
