Dear Orange,
Yea man! My pw group went down to Bukit Tiamh Toastmasters club meeting today and it was fun! I would never have imagined that public speaking can be such an entertaining activity until today. I even volunteered to give an impromptu speech! My topic was the internet..well..should have quite a lot to elaborate on.. but my brain was generally quite slow in generating ideas haha..so i said a total of 12"erms", 12"err.." and 3"and then". So the speech was quite bad..but the people there were all extremely encouraging. I felt really touched by their loud applause and their words of encouragement! Thank you all for making me feel more confident of myself. I was also rather inspired by the speeches some of them made=P, and thus i am going to join toastmasters after my 'a' levels!=D
Well..so although my group did really badly for the OP workshop with my numerous pauses=( i am sure that being mroe prepared and much practice will definitely see a marked improvement!=D So lets be optimistic! We are gonna be passionate speakers! GO GUYS!Having been through so much together i believe that this last lap will come to past smoothly with our teamwork!
And Ying! I am so proud of you for getting the best table-topics speaker award!! You have so much potential, so do have confidence in yourself!!=D
Oh no! tomorrow i have to go for MRI scan!=( Mummy says they will stick a needle into my veins and inject some weird fluid into my body. OUCH!! I am afraid of needles!!!=(((( Haha, orange..bet you're secretly laughing at my timidity, don't u dare!
