~Beautiful fragments of my life~

Saturday, March 7, 2009

Dear Orange,
I love my family. Although we are not as privileged as others, I think that we're really unique. Unlike a lot of my friends whose parents are businessmen and women, who need to travel alot, my parents are at home most of the times. Although it meant alot more nagging, I am really glad and thankful that they're always there for the 3 of us throughout our whole growing up process.

My home is the place where i really get to feel warmth and love. I love the things we do together! I remember when i was younger and we still had a car, we used to go to the Botanic Gardens every Sunday morning for a walk. On saturday nights, we would visit the Singapore River at least monthly then head to Geylang for delicious frog leg porridge. Although we dont get to go overseas very often, like many families do, I really enjoy the precious moments of family bonding time we had together.
We do really stupid and idiotic things to irritate others at times under the leadership of our dad. Hahha..so now people who know me should know why i like to tap on the shoulders of little boys and then turn away like it wasnt me who did it. Haha!

Another extaordinary trait of my family is that we love to all cramp in the master bedroom at night to enjoy the air conditioner. Then my dad and mum will start telling us about their childhoods, which was really interesting to hear!=) Well.. we're still doing it now.

And did i mention? My brother loves to fart. Many times, he would plant his butt right in front of my face while I am really engrossed watching channel 8 drama and then start farting. Oh my it was totally yuck! You wouldnt want to know what my dad does with his fart! haha!

Oh! And one very peculiar habit we all have is doing weird things. For example singing karaoke in the middle of the night during which my parents will be the jugdes while the 3 of us sing the oldies.( that explains why i like old songs so much and my parents' poor judgement explain y people sometimes cannot tolerate my singing) haha!=D

And i remember my ambition was to be a teacher. I even opened my own tuition centre at home. My siblings would be my students and i would prepare notes before every lesson. It worked quite well!=P hahha..i still keep the notes i made for them(which was totally nonsense, btw)

Hhaha..talking about fond memories we shared, there's really countless!!
But now that we all have grown up, alot of problems we would never have thought would occur came.
I really hope you will one day see how much mum and dad have done for you. And i hope that that very day, you will not have any regrets.

It is rather odd for me to come up with this post all of a sudden. But yesterday, i was looking through some photos and was reminded of all these. These are such great old times which i'll never ever want to forget, thats y im putting it here. Im sure that this blog will never be forever, but well..at least memories do last me for a lifetime. And they keep me going, wanting to make more of these beautiful moments out of my life.=)

with love,
cjiam
